Tar Heel Tour Giveaway!

In honor of my Tar Heel Tour (that’s North Carolina, for all you Yanks), I’m giving away a copy of North Carolina author extraordinaire Nicholas Sparks’ latest novel, Safe Haven. Sparks has written 15 , count ’em, 15 novels, and I’d guess that almost as many, if not all, have made the bestseller list. Pretty impressive.

This week, we’re changing things up a bit. The more places you share this contest, the better your chances of winning. Comment below with your favorite Southern book of all time (novel, cookbook, memoir, whatever it is) for a chance to win; share this contest link on Facebook and Twitter and increase your chances! Be sure to include in your comment where you shared the contest. Your name will be entered for every place you share — so if you comment here on the blog, post about the contest on Facebook (and tag me – @ Jenny Nelson Georgia’s Kitchen), and tweet about it (and tag me @JennyGNelson), you’ll be entered three times!

I’m a huge fan of Southern literature and Southern cooking (just had a to-die-for meal at Magnolia Grill in Durham last night) and can’t wait to see who your favorites are! Good luck.

I’d love to win this book! I recently finished The Help by Kathryn Stockett and thought it was a great Southern book in addition to the civil rights issues it talked about.

One of my favorite cookbooks is Paula Deen’s! She cooks down-home, yet fattening, delicious food that everyone loves. I also received a collection of Cajun cookbooks when I got married as my husband grew up in New Orleans! I can’t tolerate the spiciness, but he LOVES the recipes from these cookbooks!
